Professionalism in a Time of Change

“The only thing constant is change” (Heraclitus, c 500 BC).  Sometimes change is welcomed and sometimes it is feared.  Since professionalism is driven by values and expectations, the preparations, management and adaptations to change are essential topics for health care providers and their trainees to address.  New circumstances and conditions can result in innovations and growth or in burnout and decline.  This conference aims to examine healthcare professionalism challenges in changing times, whether they are on an individual, team, institutional, national or global level.
